When paying with the Be.EV app or RFID card, billing is a breeze.
Once you’ve added a payment card to your account via the Be.EV app, charging sessions will be billed straight after you unplug.
You may notice that our charges take a small pre-authorisation amount at the start of each session to ensure a charge can be paid for in full. Rest assured, this is not a payment, just simply a hold on your account which will disappear to reflect the real cost of the charge session after you’ve charged up.
If you’re paying with the Be.EV app or Be.EV RFID card, you can see your past charges in the app. You can do this by tapping on the green Be.EV home button in the middle of the bottom banner > hitting the ‘Account’ icon at the top right (which looks like a person) > then selecting ‘Charging History’. Pick the session you’d like an invoice for and select ‘Download’.
If you’re paying by Contactless, get in touch with our team and we’ll be able to generate a VAT receipt for you: support@be-ev.co.uk.
If you’re paying through a roaming partner, you’ll need to download your receipt via their app or get in touch with their support team.
Joining is free and easy, and you’ll enjoy discounted rates across our entire network. The simplest way to start a charge is with the Be.EV App or your Be.EV Member RFID card. Download to get charging straight away, and we'll pop your Member card in the post.
The Be.EV app is the easiest way to pay and control your charge. Plus, you get our cheapest rate.
Once you’ve added a payment card to your account through the Be.EV app, start charging by finding a charger on the map or with the Charger ID, selecting the connector you want to charge at, then tapping ‘Start Charge’.
As soon as you’re done, just hold the ‘Stop’ button at the bottom of the live charge screen and unplug from your EV.
Linked with your Be.EV account, you can tap happy with your free Be.EV RFID card.
When paying with your Be.EV RFID card, remember to tap against the RFID terminal (and not the Contactless terminal). These can be in different places depending on the charger type.
Then, as soon as you’re ready to go, simply press stop on the charger (you may be prompted to re-tap your RFID card on the RFID terminal to verify it’s you stopping the charge).
You can simply tap-and-zap with Contactless at all of our rapid and ultra-rapid chargers using your Contactless credit or debit card, Apple Pay or Google Pay.
When paying by Contactless, remember to tap against the Contactless terminal (and not the RFID terminal), these may be in different locations on the charger.
Then, as soon as you’re ready to go, simply press stop on the charger (you may be prompted to re-tap your card/device on the Contactless terminal to verify it’s you stopping the charge).
We’re partnered with many third-party roaming providers to open Be.EV charging up to more EV drivers.
If you have an RFID card with a partnered roaming service, you can tap this on the charger’s RFID terminal to start a charge.
By default, you’ll pay our Contactless rate, but check with the roaming partner to see if you can grab an additional charging discount through them.

If you have the app of a partnered roaming service, you can find our chargers on their map or with the Charger ID, select the connector you want to charge at, then tap ‘Start Charge’. To stop, hit ‘Stop’ on the charging session screen then unplug (these steps may vary slightly depending on the app).
By default, you’ll pay our Contactless rate, but check with the roaming partner to see if you can grab an additional charging discount through them.
