Stockport itself is home to approximately 2,700 registered electric vehicles, a number that continues to grow.
To meet the needs of eco-conscious shoppers and local commuters, Decathlon sought a state-of-the-art EV charging solution that would:

• Provide ultra-rapid charging options for the local EV community.
• Match the typical customer dwell time of around 30 minutes.
• Enhance convenience and sustainability, aligning with Decathlon’s values. • Ensure inclusivity with PAS-compliant charging facilities.

The solution includes:

• 15 ultra-rapid charge points capable of adding up to 165 miles of range in just 20 minutes, significantly reducing charging times.
• Strategic placement close to the M60, providing easy access for commuters.
• Infrastructure that integrates with Decathlon’s operations, ensuring minimal disruption during installation and ongoing use.
• The charging hub adheres to PAS standards, includes dedicated accessible bays designed to accommodate disabled drivers.
