Oasis planning permission secured!

Planning permission secured!

Our ground breaking project - Manchester's first large-scale green charging 'Oasis' for electric vehicles has been approved by Manchester City Council!

This milestone initiative aims to expand public charging across the county, providing ultra-rapid charging for 16 EVs at any time. The site will also feature solar panels, biodiversity-focused design, and be powered by renewable energy from Octopus Energy, ensuring a totally green transport system. We're proud to be part of this innovative, regenerative, and community-centric project!

Supported by Avison Young, the firm has secured permission for a new electric vehicle charging hub at the junction of Reliance Street and Oldham Road, which will contribute to meeting growing demand.

Once a petrol station, the site has been disused for 15 years. The new 16-point charging hub would also include a convenience store and coffee shop.

Be.EV, which is backed by £110m from Octopus Energy Generation, is also set to open a new hub at Manchester's Sale Water Park later this year.

Located two minutes from the M60, Trafford residents and commuters will also be able to access the site, with the site able to charge more than 380 cars on any given day.
