2000 green investors are supporting the next phase of our network: fundraise closes at over £4m

Be.EV’s second funding round with ethical investment platform Abundance closed last week, raising £4.11m from 2069 investors. Abundance allows individuals to invest for as little as £5 in companies and projects that make a positive difference. Be.EV’s first round using the platform raised an initial £4m in April 2021.

The money will be used to grow the Be.EV network by getting more operational EV chargers in the ground. The Be.EV team has developed a strong pipeline of new sites in the North of England and beyond, including major projects with local authorities, NHS trusts and private businesses.

Be.EV CEO Asif Ghafoor said: “We’re delighted to have the backing of over 2000 Abundance investors in this fundraise.  We want people to feel connected to their infrastructure – enabling them to invest in it is a great way of achieving that. We will now crack on building out our network to accelerate the uptake of EVs and transform neighbourhoods across the North.”
