BE.EVerywhere Competition – Terms and Conditions

HELP US IMPROVE AND GROW THE NETWORK TOGETHER. YOU WANT MORE CHARGERS AND WE WANT MORE SITES. LET’S GET TO WORK!

The criteria for what makes a successful entry to the Be.Everywhere competition can be found below. Please read carefully.

  • Sites need to be located in the UK.
  • Sites can be a public (local authority owned/run), or private (e.g. residential developments, business parks, retail parks, car parks, other). At this stage we are not looking for on-street sites*. Fleet owners/operators, we’d love to hear from you too!
  • The sites need to be able to accommodate multiple (vs. single) charging units. We are focused on building ‘banks’ of chargers to provide greater availability of charging.
  • Sites need to have sufficient parking bays to help us solve accessibility issues.
  • Sites should be in safe, secure and well-lit public areas.
  • Sites need to have open access from the road at all times and not have gated entry that closes for a period of time.

We’ll look into all recommendations that fit the bill. Clearly, we will then have to carry out some due diligence to ensure that the site owner is open to entering into a long-term partnership and sufficient power can be delivered/upgraded, but you know your towns and communities better than anyone, so we’ll let you take charge!

All you need to do is complete the form provided at Be.Everywhere Competition.

THE BE.EV TEAM

* At this stage we are building charging hubs with a concentrated network of chargers and this is currently easier on non-street locations, but we will consider street locations again in the future.

Your data

In submitting your entry, you are providing your information to Be.EV and to their affiliate communications management agencies.

Any personal data relating to winners/entrants will be used solely in accordance with current GDPR data protection legislation and will not be disclosed to a third party without the entrant’s prior consent.

Getting your reward

To enable the Be.EV team to accept a submission you are required to submit a site via the Be.EV form indicated in the communications from Be.EV (‘Submitted Site’). A member of the Be.EV team will contact you to discuss the suitability of the site. This is classified as day one of receipt of the Submitted Site.

If the Be.EV team wish to pursue this site then initial contact will be made to the contact provided within the entry. Depending on the nature of the site/contact, you may be asked to facilitate the introduction of the Be.EV team with the site owner/ freeholder. Once contact has been made, the Submitted Site will be re-classified as a ‘Target Site’. Any site which fails to meet the above criteria or where contact is not made will be classified as a ‘Rejected Site’.

The Be.EV team will work with the site owner/ freeholder to assess the suitability of a Target Site for the installation of electric vehicle charging infrastructure. The decision of whether a Target Site is suitable is at the sole discretion of the CEO of Iduna. If the CEO decides not to proceed with a site it will be classified as a Rejected Site.

If a site is selected as a suitable Target Site, Be.EV will work with the site owner/ Freeholder to agree commercial terms. If commercial terms are agreed between the site owner/freeholder and Iduna (at their sole discretion), the site will be classified as an ‘Accepted Site’.

Accepted Sites approved by the CEO of Iduna will trigger the reward for entrants at the point of Be.EV signing the lease/acquiring the freehold. If a decision is made to not proceed with a Target Site for whatever reason, it will be classified as a Rejected Site.

Be.EV expect all Target Sites to become Accepted Sites within 180 days. If a Target Site fails to become an Accepted Site within 180 days following the date of receipt of the Submitted Site it will become a Rejected Site for the purpose of this competition.

For the avoidance of doubt all Rejected Sites will not be eligible for the £750 charging credit or other named prizes. The site will no longer have any association with the party who submitted the site and it can be eligible for use by Be.EV as an EV charging location in the

future. By accepting the terms of this competition, you agree you will have no claim for the cash prize on Submitted Site(s) that become Rejected Sites or sites that Iduna are already in dialogue with prior to submission.

Where multiple members submit the same site that becomes an Accepted Site, the prize will be split between the entrants at Iduna’s sole discretion. In making this decision, Iduna will factor in the timing and details of submitted entries

Entrants will be notified of their rewards by e-mail as soon as reasonably practicable following the site becoming an Accepted Site. It should be noted that there may be confidentiality reasons following the agreement of leases that may result in this communication being delayed.

The prize will be provided as a credit (exact mechanism to be developed) into a live Be.EV members account.

The prize is non-negotiable, non-transferable and there is no cash alternative.

The intention is for Accepted Sites that have been found due to the competition to be published on the Be.EV webpage and/or social media channels once the winners have been notified.
