Let's get you up and running

  1. To update or download the Be.EV app, locate it on the App Store (iOS) or Google Play (Android), then choose the update/download option. 

  2. Log in/set up an account (all users need to set a new password).  

  1. Enter/update your payment information which will be securely stored in-app for future charging sessions. 

 

PLEASE NOTE: If you already have the Be.EV app, there’s no need to download a new one. But, our existing app (if you’ve not followed the steps above) will stop working and this will impact your ability to charge. 

Your Be.EV Member card will also stop working unless you take these steps. There is no need to replace your current Member card. You’ll just need to update your payment details within our app, for it to continue working.

EVERYTHING YOU NEED TO KNOW

This week, we will also be upgrading the systems behind our chargers so you may experience some brief disruptions.

If you have any issues, remember you can get in touch with our friendly support team day or night on 0800 917 3208 and they will get you charging.

  • No – we are upgrading the whole charging experience for drivers and, as part of this work, we will not be supporting the old Be.EV app and its performance will soon degrade. 

    This will mean your Be.EV app and Be.EV RFID card will not work unless you update and set-up your account in the new app. 

    To keep charging at the cheaper rate with your Be.EV app or Be.EV RFID card, you need to make sure you have the latest version of the app downloaded to your device, follow the set-up steps and add a payment card to be securely stored in-app for future charging sessions. 

  • Charging is simpler than ever with your new Be.EV app. 

    Simply add a payment card to your account when you follow the set-up steps in the app, then each time you charge, just select the charging location you’re at > pick the connector you wish to charge on > and hit ‘Start Charge’ to get the electrons flowing. 

    You’ll be billed straight after the session to your preferred payment card – nice and simple.  

  • When you enter your new Be.EV app for the first time, you’ll be prompted to follow a few steps to set-up your account. 

    One of these steps is to add a payment card to your account, which will be stored securely in-app for future charge sessions. 

    If you’d like to add, remove or edit a payment card, you can do this at any time by opening the app > tapping the green Be.EV home button in the middle of the bottom banner > hitting the ‘Account’ icon at the top right (which looks like a person) > then selecting the ‘Payment Methods’ tile. 

    Here you can manage all things payment.  

  • Starting a charge through your new Be.EV app or Be.EV RFID card gets you our cheapest rate. 

    67p/kWh for fast chargers 

    77p/kWh rapid and ultra-rapid chargers 

    You’ll also see a smaller pre-authorisation amount taken at the start of each charge session – just another perk of being a Be.EV Member. 

  • Just like at the petrol pump, our charges take a pre-authorisation amount at the start of each session to ensure a charge can be paid for in full. 

    Rest assured, this is not a payment, just simply a hold on your account which will disappear to reflect the real cost of the charge session as soon as you unplug. 

    Using your new Be.EV app or Be.EV RFID card not only gets you a cheapest rate per kWh but secures a smaller pre-authorisation amount too.

  • To download a VAT receipt from a past charging session, you can do this by opening the app > tapping on the green Be.EV home button in the middle of the bottom banner > hitting the ‘Account’ icon at the top right (which looks like a person) > then selecting ‘Charging History’. 

    Pick the session you’d like an invoice for and select ‘Download’. 

  • No – as part of simplifying the charging experience, we’re saying goodbye to Direct Debit and hello to instant transactions from your preferred payment card.  

    Each charging session will now be paid for on its own after you unplug – simpler to pay and easier to track.  

  • No – you don’t need to do anything with your current Direct Debit, as you may still have an outstanding balance. 

    As soon as we’ve settled any owed charge sessions, we’ll automatically close your Direct Debit agreement, so you’ll see this disappear from your account in the following weeks.
